BR33Z WORLD Isn't Asking Permission to Have Fun

While some albums speak for themselves, others go through the venue and challenge one’s ability to comprehend them. "Balling in the Club" belongs to the second type.

BR33Z WORLD was raised on the hard streets of Oakland. Born in San Francisco, he knows a lot of things most people would hardly be able to survive. However, this song is not about it but rather about his easygoing nature that allows him to have some time off.

The melody reminds of a typical West Coast sound which is known for its calmness before the party even starts. The lyrics are witty and catchy but feel very easy to use. There is a feeling that it’s not a hard job for the songwriter as everything is done easily and naturally.

However, the most important element making this song so good is its context. When a musician with such a complicated past says he is balling in the club, he is not showing off – he is providing facts.

The success of the video is being documented, and so is the timing of the release. This single is the start of a complete campaign including Call Me Right Back and Different View which are both part of a trilogy that includes something darker titled Black Heart. However, this one isn’t sombre at all.
